UPM Researchers won Silver at iENA 2018

Nuremberg, Germany; Dr. Ahmad Salahudin Mohd Harithuddin and Mohd Fazri Sedan (Master of Science - MS, Aerospace Engineering’s student are participants from Department of Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has travelled to Nuremberg, Germany to take part in the International Trade Fairs-Ideas-Inventions-New Products (iENA) 2018, which has been held from Nov 1 to Nov 4, 2018.

 

Their research entitled Flight Control System Performance Analysis and Optimization of Finless Hybrid Airship (PSHAU-2) has won silver medal in IENA 2018 under invention University/College. This research has won the Excellent Final Year Project Award (Grand Prize), Final Year Project (FYP) open day showcase. Therefore the team has been sponsored to present and participate in International Trade Fair Ideas Invention New Product (IENA) 2018 at Nuremberg, Germany. It is won the juries heart as the product emphasis on lighter-than-air drone.

 

The international Trade Fair iENA 2018 in Nuremberg, Germany, is well known for its reputation as the most important specialized trade show for the international invention scene. About 800 ideas, inventions and new products from all areas of life will be presented at the iENA.

 

It is hoped that with this participation from the UPM especially in aerospace engineering field, national products and ideas can be shared and commercialized at the international level.

 

At the same time, these researchers may have the opportunities to initiate any international collaborations and promote UPM’s products at the international trade fairs in Nuremberg, Germany.
