This course expose students to the principles of
fermentation technology. The course covers several important aspects in
fermentation technology such as isolation of microbe, strain improvement
for industrial applications, media formulation and sterilisation process,
inocula preparation, bioreactor design and process control in fermentation,
fermentation kinetics, various modes of fermenter operation and modelling.
