Petaling Jaya, 21 April - Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has achieved another milestone as one of its students, Fathin Ayuni Azizan has been chosen to receive the prestigious IEM Gold Medal Award 2011. This award is given to the best final year engineering student in every public institution of higher learning. Fathin is a final year student from the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM.
The Institution of Engineers Malaysia or better known as IEM is a recognised body for professional engineers in Malaysia. With the membership of more than 16,000 people, IEM is one of the biggest professional bodies in this country.
Fathin receives gold medal and a certificate of achievement from Deputy President Ir. Choo Kok Beng at IEM’s 53rd Annual Dinner and Awards Night for academic session 2011/2012 dated on 21st April 2011 at Sime Darby Convention Center, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
