for undergraduate students. There are four specialized areas offered by the department. These include Process Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Biochemical Engineering.  The program is fully accredited by the Public Service Department Malaysia, Board of EngineersMalaysia, and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia. Postgraduate studies for the degree of M.S. and Ph.D. are also available in many research areas such as process, environmental, biochemical and material engineering. Specialised areas such as nanotechnology, renewable energy, green technology, advanced materials,  biofuel,  water treatment, absorption, biomass and biochar are amongst the popular topics.

Last but not least, as the Head of Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, I hope that this website will be an impetus for career development in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Sharing these useful information as well as interactions with others will result in a positive outcome towards knowledge improvement in this diversified and interesting field of Chemical Engineering.
