Dean's Biography


Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Nor Kamariah Noordin

Nor Kamariah received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with cum laude distinction, her Master degree in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and her PhD in Network and Communication Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). During her more than 20 years in service she has served the faculty and the university as Head of Department, Deputy Dean of Academic, Deputy Director and, Director of Corporate Strategy and Communication of UPM. She has also served the Ministry of Higher Education (now Ministry of Education) as referral person and author in various policy documents, like the Malaysia Education Blueprint (Higher Education) 2015-2025,  particularly for Shift 4, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the Blue Playbook on Performance Management. She is also a facilitator at Higher Institution Leadership Academy (AKEPT) on Project Oriented Problem Based Learning, Practicum and Industrial Training and Strategic Leadership for University Management.

She is very much involved in accreditation in Engineering Accreditation Council in which she in an Associate Director since 2016, and also in Malaysian Qualification Agency is which she is the member of Accreditation Committee (MJA) for 2018-2019.
